Billy Davies requires 6 more players to bolster the Rams hopes of avoiding the drop
Billy Davies wants to bring in half a dozen new players in his attempt to keep the Rams in the Premiership. He has instructed his staff to go out and find them.

Top of the list comes a new central defender followed by a central midfield player and a new striker. It is unclear what other positions he requires but the striker is puzzling with his reluctance to play £3.5m record signing Rob Earnshaw and his equally baffling choice of playing just one striker at home last Saturday.

It is clear that many of the players now at Pride Park will not make the grade or are past their sell by date with regards to a permanent Premiership place.

Rumours of how this round of spending will be financed are surfacing and the USA is becoming the favourite place to supply the benefactor.

However with nearly 7 weeks before the transfer window opens in January, will the new talent and/or the new money be enough to stop the Rams steady slide back toward the Championship?
