Davies leaving for City, what is the truth?

Billy Davies
Davies will he stay or will he go, or are the rumours even true?
Newspaper journalists again try to undermine the Rams, as several reports of Billy Davies leaving the club have surfaced during the weekend.

At a time when the Rams need stability it is shear irresponsible reporting by certain newspapers to suggest that Davies will be leaving the Rams to join Manchester City.

It is believed that Davies is not happy with what he sees as interference by Rams managing director Mike Horton in team matters but would that be enough to persuade Billy to move to Manchester City?

With the Rams poised to re-claim their position in the Elite of English football it is madness to suggest Davies will jump ship for whatever reason. He appears to be a strong willed manager who knows what he wants and if rumours are true about a rift between Horton and Davies, then urgent negotiations are needed with Chairman Peter Gadsby and the other Derby County Directors.

Will Davies replace Stuart Pearce

Derby County lost one of the best managers of all time when directors interfered with the great Brian Clough's plans, and look what that cost the Rams.

Whilst not claiming that Davies is anywhere near the manager Clough was, Yet. He has shown he can take a bunch of relegation candidates and with skilful additions make then into promotion material.

Please don't make the same mistake twice
A plea to the Derby County board, Please don't make the same mistake twice if the rumours of discontent are true. Get this thing sorted or publicly announce it is all just paper talk designed to de-stabilise the Rams promotion push.
