Kris Commons may be about to move up to the Premier League

At the risk of upsetting Robbie Savage we bring you all the latest rumour from in and around Pride Park.

The latest gossip involves Rams midfielder Kris Commons. Speculation is rife that he will be making a transfer to Premiership Hull City in the next few days.

The price looks set to be around £1.3m and former Rams boss Phil Brown wants the talented midfielder as a direct replacement for Stephen Hunt, who is interesting Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The news comes as Rams CEO, Tom Glick has publicly stated that Nigel Clough will be given funds to bring in any player he thinks will enhance the squad and £1.3m would certainly enable Clough to look at talented lower league player(s).

There has been no firm confirmation or denial from the club to the rumour as yet but Glick has also eluded to lowering the wage bill of the club and Commons may be one of the high wage earners at the club at present.

If the deal does go ahead Commons would team up again with not only Phil Brown but former Derby County Director of Football Adam Pearson who has taken on the Chairman's role at Hull City recently...
