Clough sees the light

Paul Green made an influential return to action for the Rams and capped his performance with a goal.
Derby County have suffered since before the start of the season with niggling or long-term injuries to players and have yet to field their strongest team in this seasons Championship.

Nigel Clough however has stated that he can "see the light at the end of the injury tunnel". This weekend saw the return of several key plyers for the Rams, including last seasons leading scorer Rob Hulse and new signing Shaun Barker.

Hulse has been out of action this season following a minor operation on a groin injury but Clough is hoping his star striker can return to his scoring ways sooner rather than later.

Paul Green made an influential return to midfield with several good runs and scoring an equalising goal for Derby before the Rams went down 3-2.

Dean Leacock
Dean Leacock an unused sub but could he be the answer to the Rams defensive frailties?
Also on the bench for this weekends defeat to Scunthorpe United was Dean Leacock. With the Rams defensive frailties yet again being exposed, it's good to see Leacock back in the squad.

Clough also had Kris Commons at his disposal after his World Cup qualifying match with Scotland. Kris was not risked from the start but scored from the penalty spot after being introduced to the action...
