George Burley will not be rushed into deciding whom he wants as his backroom staff.
Early indications show that his number two and first team coach Billy McEwan may be retained. Burley has described his relationship with McEwan as “tremendous” during his spell as interim manager at the end of last season. Burley went on to say Billy was “a very good coach”.

Little has been said about reserve team coach Mark Lillis or the Rams goalkeeping coach Tony Godden.
George Burley faces an uphill task if he is to have a squad ready for the start of next season after half the first team squad has either been released during last season or not had their contracts renewed.
George realises that there may not be immediate success at the club but is confident that given time he can get a squad together that will challenge for a place back in the Premiership.
