Burley pleads for patience

"Even at the end of last season you could see there was obviously a lot of work to be done at Derby County," said the Rams boss.

"Nottingham Forest are an exceptional side who have proved they are capable of getting promotion and I'd say we're still two seasons behind them, but we matched them.

"We scored a good goal and then conceded two minutes later which was a little bit of naivety, but I couldn't really have asked more of my players.

"We have improved yes, but there's going to be no complacency because I know it's still going to be a very difficult season for us and I believe the fans understand that too."
