Brighton defender dilema

C:WindowsTempphp522.tmpDerby County may have a significant advantage for Saturdays opening game in the Championship, with Brighton and Hove Albion having to find a central defender or play 35 year-old Bruno Saltor in that position.

Saltor has been a significant part of Brightons good showing in last seasons Championship race, but the aging Spaniard is a right back, rather than central defender.

Bruno with his bushy beard and shaven head has plenty of experience and may prove he can still do the business even at 35. His former club Valencia were in the top division in his native Spain and with them he played in Europa Cup and Champions League games.

Bruno will start in the middle of the Brighton defense if the Seagulls fail to bring in a recognised central defender before Friday.
