Derby County have admitted that the thigh injury which saw John Brayford miss his first game for the Rams since signing from Crewe could be a lengthy injury.
Brayford has a small tear to his thigh muscle and although he is a quick healer the club do not want to rush Brayford back and make the injury worse.
Although Brayford would have loved to have taken part in Saturday's draw with Southampton, he has been told he may have to sit out the next five games for the Rams.
