A section of the Barmy Army that may well be re-locted to the North Stand before the new season starts
The Derby County Barmy Army are on the move. The band of supporters lead by Nick Webster, Blake Fallows and Mark Cottam in association with the club intend to get a vocal section of the crowd moved to the North Stand of the ground facing the away supporters.

It is hoped the move will promote singing and chanting that will rival and enhance the sterling work and volume of the South East corner of Pride Park.

The club are behind the initiative to relocate as many members as possible to the North stand A section. This has been vacated by the Junior Rams for next season.

If you are interested in moving an existing season ticket to join the Barmy Army the guys in charge have an official form that will enable them to relocate without having to queue up at the Pride Park ticket office. To take a look at the form click here.

Once the area has been set up and people allocated their seats it is hoped a drummer will help the chanting and singing from the stand or on the pitch perimeter. The large flag that has been a featuring at home and away games for a while now will be located primarily in the North Stand, which will give the opposition a good view of it.

Large banners are also hoped to be a feature at the rear of the stand.

It is hoped the big move of the Barmy Army will take place on the 17th May, which gives supporters wanting to re-locate just under three weeks to give their details.

A Facebook group has also been set up for the Barmy Army and the re-location to join this please click here. It gives a clear guide to what is happening and how to get involved...
