Adebayor torn the Rams apart to grab a second half hat-trick
The Rams gave all they had last night but were still left woefully short of class as Arsenal strolled to victory with the Rams yet again shipping half a dozen goals at home.

It had started quite well for Derby and after 24 minutes Paul Jewell must have been pleased with his teams peformance. Unfortunately a game of football is played over 90 minutes and Derby were again architects of their own un-doing. The culprit this time be Darren Moore, a simple clearance was over elaborated and Bentner took full advantage to open the scoring.

Derby to their credit didn't let their heads fall at this stage and lit up the crowd after Jay McEveley scored with 31 minutes on the clock but that was the highlight of another night of misery for the Rams and their fans.

Van Persie put the gunners in front again on 39 minutes and this time the Rams had no answer, making the half-time score 1-2 to Arsenal.

The second period was yet another collapse by Derby County. With only a minute of the second period gone the Gunners replaced Van Persie with Adebayor and what a substitution! The Togo international claimed a hatrick in just 31 minutes, showing the frailties of the Derby defense.

One more good point from ther evenings game was the first goal for record signing Rob Earnshaw, he finished an impressive run off with an excellent finish. The Welsh International striker may be moving on in the summer but he showed tonight that he knows how to finish and the celebration wasn't bad either!

With just two more games to go in the season Horribilis before the re-building can start in earnest, a great deal of work will be needed to make the Rams a force again, even in the Championship.
