All quiet down at Pride Park, or is it?

The clough taylor statue project is now in full swing and hopefully finished by the start of next season
With the close season in full swing, the World Cup being played and supporters going on their holidays you would think that very little was happening down at Pride Park, but you would be wrong..!

Preparations for the Clough-Taylor double statue are now well under way and those of you that have ventured past Pride Park lately will have seen the giant hole. This was in preparation to hold the enormous weight of the statue. Tons of concrete was poured into the hole and now awaits the plinth and a seated area for fans to have their photograph taken with the famous couple.

Other news straight out of Pride Park are the reduced opening hours of the ticket office. Although season tickets are now on general sale the office has reduced the hours it is open for the closed season. The office will now open from 9am until 5pm on Monday- Wednesday-Thursday -Friday and Saturday, with a 10am start until 5pm on Tuesdays. The ticket office will now be closed on Sunday's

Meanwhile Steve Davies continues his early start with more fitness training prior to his colleagues returning for pre-season training at the start of July. Davies has been putting in strengthening and fitness work after undergoing an ankle operation toward the end of last season. He tells us that the ankle is now sorted and the work he has now completed will see him on a par or in front of his tam mates when pre-season starts properly.

The 22 year-old striker is hoping to be able to complete a full season and show Rams fans what he is capable of after a frustrating season last time around.

Steve will be hoping the pitch at Pride Park will be link a billiard table and in a bid to reduce the amount of injuries and to promote a quicker passing game the whole pitch has been relayed in the last few weeks. With the natural watering system provided of late and hopefully some lovely sunny days in store for the rest of the summer it is hoped that a lush green surface will great fans and players alike in August...
