New Chairman? new manager? new contracts?
Major decisions look like being made in the next few days at Pride Park. Rumours are rife of an imminent take over by one of the consortium groups.

The other major development is the appointment of the Rams next manager. Front-runner George Burley is expected to fill the position left by the sacking of John Gregory. The Rams Chairman is currently facing legal action after upholding his decision to sack Gregory after his appeal hearing.

Adam Murray and Lee Morris have turned down a new contract with the club and it now remains to be seen if the new incoming boss offers revised contracts to the pair. After letting several first team professionals go at the end of last season, the Rams must act quickly to secure a reasonable squad for the start of the 2003-2004 season in three months time.
