Academy Boss leaves the Rams

Terry Westley leaves the club

The Rams Academy manager Terry Westley has left the club. It is reported on the official club website that Westely has left by mutual consent but rumours are already circulating that he was not happy with not being handed the Derby County Managers job after being caretaker for the final few months of last season.

Westley's time as manager was widely regarded as successful as the side managed to avoid relegation last season.

The news comes as a shock to most fans as Westley is one of the best youth coaches in the country. His reasons for leaving may never be known but he will be sadly missed from the Academy.
