The 26 year old defender has been tracked by the Rams and may be a second defender brought in little over a week after the £3million signing of Francois Grente.
Fukal is a Czech international defender, having played for his country on eleven occasions, scoring once. He was born in Jablonec in the Czech republic on the 16th May 1975.
Present club Hamburg have only played Fukal once this season, that being a 0-0 draw away to Nuremburg, but he does have vast experiance having played twice in Champions League matches for his former club Spata Prague.
If Fukal is signed by the Rams the more vocal element at Pride Park will have no problem in thinking up songs for Mr Fukal. :-)
