The 30-year-old midfielder was considering a move to Wolves in the close season, but eventually decided to stay at Pride Park and continue life in the Premiership. | Powell not about to become a Saint |

Top-flight rivals Southampton have been recently linked with a move for Powell - who featured against The Saints in last week's 1-0 win at Pride Park.
But his agent Philip Graham said: "The link to Southampton is speculation, there's nothing in it. Darryl is out of contract at the end of the season.
"We can talk to clubs outside of the UK in January, but not clubs in this country.
"He would go to another Premiership club on a contract that was right for him. And we don't anticipate a problem in getting him fixed up, he has a lot of admirers."
Powell, who followed Colin Todd's predecessor Jim Smith to Derby from Portsmouth in 1995 for £750,000 is unlikely to be offered a new deal with The Rams and looks set to negotiate a move away from Pride Park at the end of the season.
