Breen, 28 in just over a week's time has failed to sign a new contract at Highfield Road.
Coventry Chairman Bryan Richardson has said that they will now reluctantly listen to offers for the Republic of Ireland International.
Gary Breen has been with Coventry City since 1997 after a £2.5million move from fellow Midlands club Birmingham City
The Rams may well be interested in talking to Breen, but an asking price thought to be around £2million would have to be reduced before Colin Todd and Directors at Derby would act.
