Is Ravanelli on the move to Pompey? and are the Rams to pay 3/4 of the wages bill?
Rumour and counter rumour are coming from all angles of the media concerning a proposed move to Portsmouth by Fabrizio Ravanelli.

Ravanelli is said to be recuperating in his native Italy after suffering problems with his Achilles. Examinations by Rams Doctors and a subsequent visit to Lilleshall have failed to pinpoint the problem.

A Portsmouth website has said that Rava will decide on a move to Portsmouth on his return this coming Monday 30th Sept. This will only take place if Ravanelli is full fit.

However there are claims that Pompey want the Rams to pay three quarters of his wages. That would mean Derby County paying £30,000 per week for a player to play for a rival team in the same division. A ludicrous situation if it comes to fruition.

Ravanelli’s agent Giovanni Palladini is said to have confirmed that Portsmouth have made a bid for the services of his client. Although again it is thought that no decision or discussion will take place until the striker returns from Italy.
