The Little Book of Derby County by Peter Seddon

Little book of Derby County
If you want a little book and are mad about Derby County then this is the little book to have.

The new Book by Peter Seddon, “The little book of Derby County“, is just what is says on the tin, or book cover in this instance. A little book measuring 8 inches x 5.5 inches. Having said that, it does contain 249 pages of un-missable anecdotes and quotes from former players, managers and Radio Commentators plus a whole lot more.

The book is a mine of information and trivia that either hasn't been known or lost from the public domain for quite some time.

Some of Brian Clough's witty and often cutting remarks are among hundreds more, some funny, some sad but all very interesting. Some of the many “heat of the moment” sayings from BBC Radio Derby Commentator Graham Richard's also had me laughing my head off.

The book also looks into other aspects of Derby County, from the players who were in the 1998 Football League 100 league legends, To Rams players who didn't choose to use the names that appeared on their birth certificates.

All of the pieces of information, stories and saying are in a short, easily read format and I defy anyone who buys a copy of this book to put it down.

For older Rams fans (like myself) it brings back the memories of the glory days and the huge amount of history and heritage this club has. For the younger Rams fan it will give an insight into the legends, their wit and mistakes that make the book a wonderful “Little Book”

I actually didn't think there was much more that could be written about Derby County, as the club has been written about by so many of footballs leading journalists and authors over the last few decades but this is a pleasantly surprising, informative and funny book.

Little book of Derby County
Peter Seddon is one of my favourite Derby County Authors and his book Steve Bloomer:
The Story of Football's First Superstar,
also available from Breedon Books, is one of my personal favourites and a fascinating insight into Derby County's greatest ever player. His new book will, I am sure, be as successful and loved by All Derby County fans.
