Derby County will have a victory parade around the City tonight (Tuesday 29th May) after winning promotion via the play-offs to the Premiership.

Fans will be able to see the players and officials of the club in an open topped bus that will tour the City, starting at The Morledge at 6.30pm and go around the City visiting Albert Street, Victoria Street, Wardwick, Cheapside, Bold Lane, Jury Street , Walker Road, Cathedral Road, Full Street and Corporation street before returning to Pride Park.

Special viewing points will be set up for fans to get a view of the players and trophy as they take the fans applause. These areas will be in Osnabruck square, the Corn Market, Victoria Street and Cathedral Green.

Police are advising motorists to avoid the areas if at all possible between 6.30pm and 7.00pm or risk delays.

Supporters will be let in free of charge to Pride Park to join with all the players and officials in an official reception. Derby Mayor Pauline Latham has said it will be magic and hopes to see supporters from all over Derbyshire attend the gathering. It is hoped the celebrations within the ground will start at 7.00pm, although this depends on the speed of the tour around the City.
