South Yorkshire Police
The kind Policemen of South Yorkshire have issued a statement to the travelling Rams army. Here are the do's and don'ts that will ensure you have a nice day and don't end up with your collar felt in South Yorkshire.

1...Rams fans are advised that there are NO set pub in Barnsley for travelling fans. (I find this difficult to understand , wouldn't it be easier ,and safer, to have one or two pubs, where Rams fans were welcome instead of the whole of Barnsley?)

2...There will be no alcohol served to Derby Fans inside the ground…..(Fair enough I suppose, as you can have your fill in any pub in Barnsley before the match J )

3...Anyone organising coach travel should notify their local football intelligence officer (Paul Russell on 01332 613040) and travel in accordance with the traffic commissioner's guide lines ("Looks like we have us a convoy" as mentioned by Laurie lingo and the dipsticks, to travel the vast distance to Barnsley (57 miles). No stopping for a leak, mooning out of the windows, do not pass go or collect £200 J )

4...All coaches must meet on the M1 slip road, junction 37 North bound between the hours of 1300 and 1400 hours (or 1.00pm and 2.00pm) for those not running as military operation J .) You will then be taken in by motorcycle escort. There will be a £10 fee for this delay and inconvenience paid for by your coach operator. Nice little earner for the local constabulary J )

5...Please be patient at Oakwell due to the number of fans attending (not used to seeing crowds at Oakwell) and the grounds limited confines (get a bigger stadium! )

Route from car park to Oakwell
6... There is no coach parking at the stadium, due to the amount of coaches expected. Parking is available at the rear of the Courthouse public house
(Ah! One of the non set pubs for away fans????????) This is sign posted M1 Junction 37 and follow the signs for the ground. The car park is marked for away fans (but keep out of the pub! J )

7...Finally if you are one of the ultra modern techie people who use Satellite Navigation……..don't! Apparently this wonderful invention will direct you to the wrong side of the ground.

So on the orders of the South Yorkshire Police, have a wonderful day on Saturday and don't celebrate too much after the Rams crush the Tykes.
