Roy Carroll committed to the Rams for the next three years
Irish International Keeper Roy Carroll has agree in principal an extention of three years to his contract with Derby County.

Paul Jewell is excited by the news, knowing that all succesful sides need stability at the back and Roy has bag fulls of experience. Jewell aslo said that Roy knows he has to knuckle down and work at his game, although the 30 year-old has proven his class at the highest level and expects him to shine for the Rams once again in the coming seasons. Most goalkeepers can go on at a high level after their 30th Birthday and it is hoped Carroll will have many more succesful days with Derby.

Carroll has only play two games for the Rams but his skill and experience have given his defensive comrades some much needed confidence over the time he has been at the club. More tinkering with the defence is almost certain to go on throughout the summer months with a view to coming out of the traps well at the begining of next season, no matter what league the Rams find themselves in...
