nigel clough 2The Rams in the form of manager Nigel Clough have indicated that they intend to bring in players as soon as possible. This is an effort to re-shape the squad and add better quality players in an attempt to improve on two near relegation seasons.

Clough is anticipating being very busy but has also warned that some of the deals currently in progress could be protracted but should be worth the wait.

It is thought that Clough wants and needs to bring in half a dozen players. It is not clear as yet if these include the expected signing of Frank Fielding and other players who have just finished their loan period with Derby County. However Clough has indicated it may well take more than six signings to take the club forward and achieve the top six placing muted by Rams CEO Tom Glick....

The Rams manager also would like to get his new squad in position as soon as possible to give them time to form into a solid unit and he also thinks it is important for the fans to see that the club is true to its word by improving the quality of players at Pride Park before a ball is kicked in the 2011-12 season.
