Rams get Championship new boys on the opening day of the season

Derby County entertain Championship new boys Doncaster on the opening game of the 2008-09 season on Saturday 9th August.

Games of note occur on the 1st November when the team down the A52 make their way to Pride Park. A full house will be guaranteed when we beat, sorry play, Nottingham Forest. Don't forget the Brian Clough Trophy depends on this one and we hope it will stay at Pride Park.

Boxing day is a game I always enjoy, the game this season will be away against Preston North End, a nice drive or coach trip to get rid of those Christmas day excesses.

No New Years day fixture this season as the FA Cup 3rd Round takes place on the 3rd January. Hopefully the Rams may have a Cup run this season, a league and Cup double would be great!

We make the trip down to the City Ground on the 21st February 2009 to again hopefully take the three points back to Pride Park and retain the Brian Clough trophy. We are sure Kris Commons will also receive a warm welcome.

The final few games on paper seem to be hard, finally ending the season with a tricky away fixture at Vicarage Road as we take on Watford.

So there you have it, should you need to take a look at the whole of the fixture list it can be viewed on the Official Derby County Website...
