Derby will be the centre of the Woman's footballing World this coming Spring as the Woman's FA Cup Final moves from Nottingham to Derby.

The City has been chosen for its facilities at Pride Park and the East Midlands Development Agency is planning a four day festival of Woman's football starting on May 1st and going on through until May 4th, the day of the Final itself.

Ray Kiddell Chairman of the Woman's FA Committee is expecting Pride Park to be filled with fans of woman's football from all over the County, East Midlands and the rest of the country.

The aim is to have the largest attendance for a Woman's Cup Final ever. Last season saw a huge crowd of 24,582 pack into the City Ground in Nottingham but the Rams hope to better than by several thousand and have high hopes of a near sell out crowd.

A date for your new Diary for 2009 has to be May 4th and don't forget the events leading up to the final itself during the four day festival...
