Mart Poom said to have been having talks in Sunderland today
Sunderland may be on the verge of signing Rams number one keeper Mart Poom. Sunderland had bid £2million but officials at the club rejected that offer last week. However the goalkeeping crisis at The Stadium of Light has prompted Howard Wilkinson to enquire about a loan deal prior to the transfer window opening in January.

It is also thought that Poom has been in Sunderland today (Friday 15th November) having talks with the Black Cats. Other sources have said that Sunderland have now increased their original £2million bid to £2.5million. This together with lowering the wage bill may mean Poom moving to the North East sooner rather that later.
