Brian O'Neil leaves by mutual consent
Derby County in their desperate search to find ways of reducing the wages bill at Pride Park have today terminated the contracts of two more players.

Brian O’Neil, who has been plagued by injury since his arrival from Wolsberg in the German league, terminated his contract by mutual consent. The 30 year old has only played on 14 occasions for the Rams first team since his arrival in a swap deal on the 13th November 2000. For more details of Brian’s career click here.

The other player to have his contract terminated, again by mutual consent, was Fiachra McArdle a 19-year-old midfielder from Newry. McArdle’s contract was not due to run out until Jun 2004
