Derby County will be taken over by American's Andrew Appleby and Tom Glick

Yes the American's are here and will take over at Pride Park with a press conference at 2.00pm today.

The news will be that the president of General Sports Entertainment, Andrew Appleby will step into the Chairman's position, with Tom Glick taking over as CEO of the Rams.

Appleby is a 45 year old who founded General and Sports Entertainment (GSE) in 1998 and has had various sports franchises in the US. Three times NBA champions Detroit Pistols were under Appleby's wing.

Tom Glick is former marketing officer for NBA side New Jersey Mets, he will be taking on the Chief Executive officers role.

The Derby County board will now consist of just four share holders, Appleby, Glick. With Adam Pearson and Peter Gadsby making up the fourth. Appleby and Pearson will be the two major share holders within the club....
