Rams striker Steve Davies may make a dramatic return to action this weekend following his rapid recovery from a fractured skull.

The innocuous challenge that left Davies on the floor in the later stages of the home game against Southampton on the 15th October, had left the strikers skull fractured so badly he needed emergency surgery. That surgery needed 10 metal plates and 22 screws to put right the damage.
Davies has rated his chances of playing on Saturday against Bristol City as 60% in favour and 40% against. Davies has already had a protective mask made for his return, which he was not expected to make before the New Year...
