Derby County Football Club taken over by Gadsby consortium

Peter Gadsby
How the majority of Derby County Fans have longed to hear that statement and at last it is a reality. The consortia of Mr Gadsby took control of the club .This now gives the new directors of the club a fighting chance of organising the financial and managerial problems that they have now inherited.

The new Chairman of Derby County Football Club is expected to be Peter Gadsby himself with Mike Horton taking on the day to day running of the club. Rams supporters groups have welcomed the new regime and

RamsTrust Vice Chair, Ian Hayes commented “ We now have an opportunity for everyone connected with the club to pull together and get our club back on the road to success. The life blood of any club is its fans and now we have people in charge who are Derby County fans rather than opportunists seeking to gain notoriety and possibly financial gain from the club“.

All that remains now is for fans to have a very large and noisy party on Sunday and a resounding win over Sheffield Wednesday.

Hopefully this summer will see Derby County embark on a rebuilding plan that will see us back to our 2004-05 season push for promotion, the debt will be a distant memory and of course England will win the World Cup. Pipe dreams maybe but at least now the club has a fighting chance to regain its status as one of the English games leading clubs.

Three Cheers for Peter Gadsby and Co….Hip Hip Hurray……Hip Hip Hurray…… Hip Hip Hurray
