The EFL Cup starts for the Rams tonight as they entertain league two side Grimsby, and a welcome return to first team action for Craig Forsyth.
Craig was set to make his return after nearly a year out with injury in Saturday's opening match of the Championship, but a new addition to the Forsyth family saw Craig attending the birth of his first child.
Missing from the first team since a cruciate knee ligament injury in November 2015, Fzzy is eager to regain his place at left back, which has been taken over with great effect by Marcus Olsson.
Olsson has been out due with a concussion and new guidlines for any head injury means he is not in contention for the place in tonights game. Nigel Pearson adding "there is a set protocol for head injuries", so Olsson sits the Cup game out. He is likely to be in the squad and ready to try and re-claim his place for the trip to Barnsley at the weekend.
