Black day for the Rams on Saturday after their 0-4 defeat away to Tottenham Hotspur, but does it have something to do with the shirt colour, rather than player skill?

Ex Derby County and England right back, Bert Mozley thinks it may well be a case of finding their lucky shirt.

Bert, now residing in Canada, played for the Rams from 1946 to 1954 and made nearly 300 league appearances for Derby County..

During that time the Rams played in a light blue changed kit for away games. Bert has told Derby County Mad that during the 1940's it seemed to be a lucky coloured kit for the Rams. He recalls having a very good record against London teams whilst wearing the light blue kit.

So is it all down to the colour or the belief in the luck of the kit? If the Rams get a similar hammering whilst wearing the all black kit, it may be worth Billy taking heed of Bert Mozley and take a look at the record of the Rams in light blue kits.
