Wednesday saw the Rams revival in an entertaining midweek game against Sven Goran Erikson and his Manchester City team. The joy of the crowd when the Rams went 1-0 up was akin to winning the Cup Final. The game should have been the Rams second win in a Premiership season that has seen little joy for Rams fans. With the transfer window closing at midnight on Thursday the struggle to land Rangers goalkeeper, Roy Carroll was finally won as the 30 year-old finally put pen to paper . Even later was the surprise capture of Everton veteran defender Alan Stubbs and although now 36 he will add some much needed experience to the Derby defence. Alan joins on an 18 month contract.
Friday, we all had a day off and more good news as the threatened heavy snow fall fails to arrive during the day.
